Eligibility Criteria
To apply for these positions, candidates must fulfill the following educational and age requirements:
1. Educational Qualification
- Work Inspector (Advt. 25/2025): 10th Pass (Matric) + ITI Certificate in Draftsman Civil, Surveyor, or Plumber trades.
- Work Inspector – Mechanist (Advt. 31/2025): 10th Pass (Matric) + ITI Certificate in Machinist, Fitter, Wireman, or Electrician trades.
2. Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age (Unreserved Male): 37 Years
- Maximum Age (BC/EBC & UR Female): 40 Years
- Maximum Age (SC/ST): 42 Years

Salary and Pay Scale
The post of Work Inspector is a regular government appointment.
- Pay Level: Level 2 (some notifications mention Level 4 for specific technical roles).
- Basic Pay: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 (Level 2) or ₹25,500 – ₹81,100 (Level 4).
- Approx. In-hand Salary: ₹28,000 – ₹35,000 per month (including DA, HRA, and other allowances).
Selection Process
The selection is primarily based on merit through a competitive examination process:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): An objective exam consisting of 100 questions (covering technical trade subjects and general studies).
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates from the CBT will be called for original document verification.
- Medical Examination: Final medical fitness check before appointment.
