Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed SSC/10th Standard with Science subjects (minimum 55% marks) PLUS any one of the following:

• ITI Certificate in the relevant trade (e.g., Fitter, Electrician).
• OR National/State Trade Certificate in the relevant trade.
• OR 2 years of full-time experience as an apprentice trainee in the relevant trade.
• OR 3 years of work experience in the relevant trade in a Govt./PSU/Autonomous Body.

2. Age Limit (as of Jan 21, 2026):

• Maximum Age: 28 Years.
• Age Relaxation: Standard relaxation applies for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PwBD candidates as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process

The selection is a two-stage process:

1. Trade Test: A practical test in the relevant trade. This is qualifying in nature.
2. Written Examination: Only those who pass the trade test will sit for the written exam. It consists of three papers (Mental Ability, English/GK, and Trade-specific). The final merit list is prepared based on the marks of Paper-II and Paper-III.
