3. Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized board on or before March 2, 2026.
• Domicile: Only candidates who are Domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir are eligible to apply.
• Age Limit (as of Jan 1, 2025): * General/Open Merit: 18 to 28 years (Born between 01-01-1997 and 01-01-2007).
  • In-Service Police Personnel: Up to 30 years.
  • SPOs/Volunteer Home Guards: Up to 40 years.

4. Physical Standards (PST)

• Male Candidates: * Height: Minimum 5′ 6″
  • Chest: 32″ (unexpanded) to 33.5″ (expanded)
• Female Candidates: * Height: Minimum 5′ 2″
• Relaxation: 2 inches height relaxation for Gorkha community and Bot Tribe candidates.

5. Selection Process

The selection involves the following sequential stages:

1. Written Examination: Objective type (MCQs) with a negative marking of $0.25$ for each wrong answer.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Measurement of height and chest (qualifying nature).
3. Physical Endurance Test (PET): * Males: 1600 meters race in 6.5 minutes and 20 push-ups.
   • Females: 1000 meters race in 6.5 minutes and Shot Put (4kg) 14.5 feet in 3 attempts.
4. Document Verification & Medical Exam.
