2. Detailed Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Must be a Citizen of India and Domiciled in Maharashtra.
- Age Limit (as of Jan 5, 2026): * General: 18 to 38 years.
- Reserved (SC/ST/OBC/SBC): 18 to 43 years.
- Small Family Norm: Candidates must not have more than two living children born after March 28, 2005.
Post-Specific Skills:
- Clerk: Graduate + English Typing (40 wpm) + Marathi Typing (30 wpm) + Computer Certificate (MS-CIT/DOEACC/C-DAC).
- Peon: Minimum 7th Standard pass + ability to read/write Marathi.
- Stenographer: Graduate + Shorthand (80/100 wpm) + Typing (40 wpm).
3. Examination Pattern (Clerk Post)
The Clerk exam is the most comprehensive, consisting of three stages. There is no negative marking.

4. Selection Stages
- Screening Test (Written): Objective MCQ test (90 Marks for Clerk; 30-80 Marks for Peon).
- Typing/Shorthand Test: For Clerks and Stenos (20 Marks).
- Cleaning/Cooking Test: Only for Peon/Hamal (active physical task).
- Viva-Voce (Interview): Conducted for all posts (Clerk interview is 40 Marks; minimum 16 required to pass).
