JKSSB Recruitment Notification No.12 of 2025 regarding notification of total 1815 vacancies of Constable (Executive) Posts of Jammu & Kashmir Police Home Department is released by the Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB). Online applications for JKSSB Recruitment shall open on 19th January 2026. Online applications can be done till 17th February 2026. JKSSB Police Constable requirement 2026 applicants should have completed Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized board. The age limit for Police Constable is 18-28 years, with relaxation in the upper age limit in respect of the reserved categories as per the rules of the concerned government. The Jammu and Kashmir JKSSB selection procedure will comprise Written Examination, Physical Standard Test (PST), and Physical Endurance Test (PET). Candidates selected for Jammu and Kashmir JKSSB will be placed in Pay Level 2. Aspirants are strongly advised to go through the notification in detail before applying.

This recruitment is divided into different cadres, primarily focusing on Executive Police, Armed Police, and specialized wings like Telecommunication.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) from a recognized board.
• Domicile: Applicants must be a domicile of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.
• Age Limit (as of 01-01-2025): * General/Reserved Categories: 18 to 28 years.
  • In-Service Police Personnel: Up to 30 years.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation as per government rules.

Physical Standards (Minimum)

• Male Candidates: Height: 5’6″; Chest: 32″ (unexpanded) to 33.5″ (expanded).
• Female Candidates: Height: 5’2″.
• Note: Relaxations of 2 inches in height are available for Gorkhas and Bot Tribes.

Selection Process

The recruitment will be conducted in four major stages:

1. Written Examination: OMR-based objective test (100 marks). There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Measurement of height and chest.
3. Physical Endurance Test (PET):
   • Male: 1600 meters run in 6.5 minutes + 20 push-ups.
   • Female: 1000 meters run in 6.5 minutes + Shot Put (4kg) 14.5 feet.
4. Medical Examination & Document Verification.
